Questionnaire results

  1. Question:
    1. The results of question number one was a very good result as by having a performance base video, it really shows what the band is about and things like their stage presence as well. This is something an audience wants to know about first of all as it simple and makes them intrigued to watch their next video.

    2. All the results here were want we wanted as Richard said we were considering filming a beach but as we found due to rain we had our back up locations as a Barn or House. We chose a barn as the derelict look really suited as it was a contrast between old and new, the barn being brought back to life in a sense.
However, if we chosen the house we would of adapted the idea of the band. "Enter Shikari, Sorry you're not a winner" music video:

This was an idea as Enter Shikari are similar genre to our unsigned band.

    3. This was the result we were hoping for as the majority of the song is lively as is the band. We could consider making the opening calmer as 30 seconds in it changes beat.

    4. Even though this result is very close, we can do a mixture but lean more towards a performance base, as some of the lyrics we can related to the band.

    5. The audience would prefer handheld shots, this is what we are planning to do as adds to the alternative rock music, however we will add static shots otherwise the video can look messy.

    6. A mid shot of the band gets their image across but shows enough detail about the shot too. We will be incorporating these all throughout the video.

  2. It is good that you have analysed these results. It would be worth putting a retrospective comment looking at whether this research informed your planning as much as you'd thought.

  3. This analysis helped inform our planning as in our final cut we changed certain shots such as the drummer at the beginning.
Also by having our target audience watch it it was more helpful as we knew exactly what they what they wanted to see.
